Join the Guelph S2BN Chapter for the first interactive discussion in our online entrepreneurship Series with special guest Sean Thompson, BSc, Co-Founder and CEO of Psigryph Inc. During these one-hour, ask-me-anything events, attendees are encouraged to ask our guests questions about their career journey and seek advice on navigating entrepreneurial success from academia.

• To inspire and motivate aspiring entrepreneurs at the University of Guelph by showcasing Guelph-based companies.

Sean Thompson, B.Sc.; CEO, Co-Founder, Psygryph Inc.

About the Speaker:

Sean has experience in big and small biopharma and advises many biotech companies.

Prior to founding Psigryph, he was VP, Corporate Development for YM BioSciences leading negotiating teams on licensing and M&A transactions. He previously headed Clinical Research leading the company through studies globally.

Under his leadership, YM acquired companies and completed licenses including a deal with Daiichi Sankyo for US$14.5M up front.  They also raised $120M during his tenure.

He previously held Clinical Development and Marketing positions with GlaxoSmithKline and Roche.

He currently serves:

• Board of Directors of the Ontario Environment Industry Association
• Board Afro Caribbean Business Network
• Member City of Guelph Economic Development Advisory Committee;
• Scientific Reviewer, NSERC’s Idea to Innovation Grant Committee
• Mentor, Futurepreneur Canada.

He holds a B.Sc. from the University of Waterloo.
