Session Objectives:

Our panelists:

Larissa Vos, PhD, Scientific Publications Coordinator, Alberta Cancer Clinical Trials

I received my PhD from the Department of Oncology under the supervision of Dr. Gordon Chan. I then undertook a grant writing internship/Postdoc position with Drs. Sandy McEwan, Matthew Parliament, and Todd McMullen. During this time I also did freelance writing and was a sessional lab instructor. I have been in my current position as the Publication Coordinator for the Clinical Trials Unit at the Cross Cancer Institute (Edmonton, Alberta) for 6.5 years.

Nandini Raghuram, PhD, Medical Writer, Axiom

Nandini completed her Bachelor of Science in Cell and Developmental Biology from the University of British Columbia in 2011. She then pursued a PhD at the University of Toronto focusing on Breast Oncology. While in graduate school, Nandini worked on developing educational content for university courses, high school conferences, and community outreach programs. She transitioned into industry a year and a half ago as a Medical Writer working on medical education/strategy. In her spare time, Nandini enjoys playing tennis and discovering new restaurants.

Krishana Sankar, PhD, Scientific Researcher/Communicator

Krishana is a Doctoral Researcher at the University of Toronto in the Faculty of Medicine who is passionate about communicating science, advocating on behalf of those with Diabetes, Women in STEM, Graduate Student support and Mental Health in Higher Education.
