Join the Guelph S2BN Chapter on Wednesday, February 15th for an online interactive discussion with guest speakers, Erica Zarkovich, Senior Vice President of Government Markets at LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services, and Dr. Nina E. Weisser, Director of Multispecific Antibody Therapeutics at Zymeworks Inc. During this session we will be celebrating the International Day for Women in Science by discussing the experiences and career pursuits of our incredible guest speakers!

Session Objectives:

  • Discover potential career options for women interested in pursuing a career in STEM.
  • Discuss the successes, obstacles, and barriers experienced by women currently working in STEM.
  • Learn the career pathway of women in advanced positions in STEM.

Speakers: 

Erica Zarkovich, LLM; Senior Vice President, Government Markets at LifeLabs Medical Laboratory Services

  • As Senior Vice President, Government Markets, Erica is responsible for LifeLabs’ core business, renewing and building relationships with government partners and expanding community lab access and equity across the community laboratory sector. In this role, Erica also leads key enabling corporate affairs functions, including corporate communications and community engagement. Most recently, Erica held the role of Vice President, General Counsel, Chief Privacy Officer and Corporate Secretary, where she was responsible for the management of all legal, privacy, risk and corporate governance matters on behalf of the organization. Erica holds an HBSc. in human biology/bioethics from the University of Toronto (Trinity College), an LLB from Queen’s University, and an LLM in Health Law from Osgoode Hall Law School. Erica is passionate about volunteering and sits on multiple not-for-profit boards and initiatives.
